Moraine Township has trained and certified Counselors to confidentially help residents explore their health insurance options on the Federal Marketplace.
You may be eligible for subsidies to help you afford health insurance
You may be eligible for reduced out-of-pocket expenses
You may be eligible for expanded Medicaid
For 2024 health insurance, enrollment starts November 1, 2023. Trained and certified Counselors are available to work one-on-one with residents to help them understand their options, balance their medical needs and budgets, compare coverage and costs, and ensure that enrollees obtain the premium subsidies and cost-sharing reductions they may be income-qualified to receive.
Residents currently enrolled in health insurance plans through the Marketplace can re-enroll in their existing plan for another year or select a new plan. A Counselor will help enrollees learn about changes that may have taken place in their existing plan, or review details and compare costs of alternative plans.
Health insurance offered on the Federal Marketplace under the ACA addresses the gaps many of our citizens experience when their employer does not offer this benefit, they are self-employed, unemployed, recently divorced, retired early, or a myriad of reasons people just don’t have access to health care.
