MINUTES OF EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING
February 28, 2008

These minutes made public at the July 23, 2009 Meeting of the Board after reviewing in Executive Session

The Board of Trustees went into Executive Session at 8:30 PM. Upon roll call, Trustees Gamson, Moreno, Plouché, and Zaluda and Supervisor Barnes were present.

The purpose of the session was to discuss a potential land acquisition for the future home of the Township offices, specifically the financial issues concerning the property at 3500 Western Avenue, Highland Park.

Supervisor Barnes has determined that the property is not currently zoned for commercial office use. The Board advised Supervisor Barnes to informally determine whether the Zoning Board of the City of Highland Park might object to changing the zoning to accommodate a potential acquisition by the Township for the purpose of operating the Township offices as well as renting to other potential tenants.

The Board believes that although there might be advantages to the Township owning the property in which it offices, there is concern that this particular space may be too large with subsequently higher utility bills. It also needs ADA related renovations.

With no further executive-session business to conduct, Trustee Gamson moved, seconded by Trustee Zaluda, to close Executive Session at 8:45 PM.
