MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
July 10, 2008
The meeting was called to order at 5:15 PM by Trustee Gamson in Supervisor Barnes’ absence. Upon roll call the following members were present: Trustees Bryna Gamson, Margoth Moreno, and Cynthia Plouché. Trustee Jeff Zaluda was absent. Also Present: Assessor Peter Koukos and Clerk Ellen Gussin.
Approval of Minutes
The Regular Meeting Minutes of June 12, 2008 stand approved as written. There are no minutes from the regularly scheduled meeting of June 26, as it was cancelled by Supervisor Barnes due to lack of a quorum.
Approval of Bills
Trustee Moreno moved, seconded by Trustee Plouché, approval of the bills. Upon roll call, motion carried.
Public Comment -- None
Township Salaries
This item was not discussed because the minutes of the June 12, 2008 meeting reflect that the next discussion on this subject is to be at the July 24, 2008 meeting.
Assessor’s Report
One of the computers in the office crashed and the County advises that the warrantees have passed and recommends that we buy six new computers at a cost of $5,485 for Dell PCs. Old monitors are in good shape and do not have to be replaced. In addition, the licensing of Microsoft Office 2007 will cost an additional $1,700 for the six computers.
Supervisor’s Report – None
Committee Reports
Human Relations Commission – Trustee Plouché asked if one of the trustees would like to sit in for her at the July 24 Human Relations Commission meeting at 6 PM. Trustee Moreno volunteered to attend and Trustee Plouché will confirm time and place.
Trustee Plouché reported that she had attended the Lakefront Commission meeting concerning the beach enhancement project. She thought the meeting was very interesting; and recognition was given to the Township and Assessor’s office for helping to facilitate the survey conducted.
Latino Advisory Committee – Trustee Moreno reported on her meeting with Manuel Martinez, Township resident, at which he expressed his desire to be considered for the Latino Advisory Committee. She advised him to call the Township Office. Several others have also expressed interest. The Board is waiting to review revised Guidelines for this committee from the Supervisor and asked that it be placed on the agenda of an upcoming meeting.
Food Pantry – Trustee Moreno requested a report on the monthly food pantry statistics to review at the next meeting.

With no further business to conduct, Trustee Plouché moved, seconded by Trustee Moreno, the meeting be adjourned at 5:55 PM. Motion carried.
