MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
July 8, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM, and upon roll call the following members were present: Supervisor Mari Barnes; Trustees Bryna Gamson and Jackie Schechter; and Clerk Ellen Gussin. Trustee Dwayne Douglas arrived at 5:12. Trustee Margoth Moreno was absent as well as Assessor Patty Powers.

Approval of Minutes
The Regular Meeting Minutes of June 24, 2010 stand approved as written and distributed.

The Executive Meeting Minutes of May 27, 2010 stand approved as written and distributed.

Approval of Bills
Trustee Schechter moved, seconded by Trustee Gamson, approval of the bills. Upon roll call, motion carried.

Reports
Assessor’s Report
None

Supervisor’s Report
Staff member Grizell Toledo had a baby girl named Olivia and will be on maternity leave for the next four to six weeks.

The Township has returned the second van to PACE and received in its place a new handicapped-accessible van.

Driver Mike Walsh was cleared to return to work by Workmen’s Compensation, but Supervisor Barnes declined to hire him back based on the insurance company’s recommendation.

The Family Service special grant of $50,000 approved by the Board in May was not been paid because their option on the new space fell through. Supervisor Barnes will speak to Executive Director of Family Service Bob Wolf to request that any future space and program proposals be brought back to the Township Board for reconsideration.

Latino Advisory Committee
The next meeting will be Monday, July 12.

None

New Business
August meeting date is changed from August 19 to August 26 at 7:30 PM.

Adjournment
With no further business to conduct, Trustee Douglas moved, seconded by Trustee Gamson, the meeting be adjourned at 5:55 PM. Motion carried.
